Wet Play dive into the record world with 'Where Good Friends Meet #1' - a showcase of artists and sounds from the infamous Manchester soiree.

First up is LOGE with 'E 180 Love' - a dazzling, hydraulic-driven ride round west coast L.A come sunset. Keep those shades down low to reflect the neon beams this track fires from it's hardware driven body mechanics. Hear the fiery red sun melt into the square bass that simply repeats on and on....

Teleporting us straight into 5D is SKANKY MAGIC next with 'Skanky Magic'. Crazy use of spring reverbs, darting leads and anti-gravity sonics will have you bouncing all over innerspace as you adjust to the hypnotic two-note buzz. Electric, mesmerizing and from another galaxy completely. It's blissful finale soaring through into the cosmos in a technicolour haze.

METRODOME's '909 Lovin' is next. Precision built for settign dancefloors alight and with an arrangement that'll twist heads inside out. Just when you think this track's burnt out, anohter sick bassline sets the floor on fire again, accompanied by one of the maddest signature sounds since Terror Danjah;s gremlin. Pure Heat.

Finally we get Theo's Ugly edits and Jamal Moss's Members Only edits interpreted by a speed fuelled, level riding rogue from Manchester's underbelly. 'Edit 2 (2007 Version)' bumps and simmers uncontrollably, riding the sample like a bitch before dropping into tripped-out celestial disco chaos. If you thought onth the Detroit and Chicago cats knew how to fuck an MPC hard, then STE SPANDEX has just brought home the bacon.

3.       Friday 24^th May - *Live A/V Social w/ ITAL & AURORA HALAL @ The Dancehouse

In conjunction with Full Beam! And the nice folks at the Dancehouse Theatre we present an evening social event featuring live, audio/visual performances from two previous Wet Play participants. We’ll also be screening the PPU Video Party Vol 2. on the BIG cinema screen in the theatre’s auditorium… If you’ve never been to the Dancehouse before, this is the time to check it out. It’s somewhat of an experiment in the space so expect a jazzy experience.  We’ll be jamming in the bar as well so dress accordingly. Special celebrity barman Ste Spandex will be on hand to serve you drinks whilst djin (seen him do it before) – ask him for a ‘Dancehouse’ special cocktail, you won’t be disappointed.

We’ve had the pleasure to jam at ‘G’BQ’s 1 & 2 and both have left a lasting impression in the napper… Sick vibes and loads of top heads on an almighty wrecking mish day and night rain or shine... ‘Teeeeaabaggiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnngggg!’

*Right so as you've probably all noticed we've been in cryo-stasis for the past couple of months. We've all been hard at it working on some jazzy stuff (news sooooon) but we beginning to twitch so expect a drench in the not too distant future... For now though... YOU ARE INVITED to a high-brow evening of ART, compiled by Randy Marsh.... featuring a heavy dose of Wet Play imagery in the form of a poster retrospective and other related tackles such as the impending Wet Play Jewellery line and work for our imminent belly flop into the record industry... Old school posters and nicelier printed ones specially for the occassion.

*Some works will be available to purchase on the night and we will be taking orders and having stuff framed up for people so if you want anything, speak to Randy and he'll hook you up. Commission pieces also encouraged if you want something in a particular colour or size or you want something unique producing.... There will be lots of shit to choose from. Seahawks n crew on a serious cruise. How many cornishmen does it take to
open up a wormhole?

*Saturday 15th Dec saw us transported so far into the outer cosmos that its taken K.P this long to get back down to Earth to write this (in secret we all knew he's bin holed up waiting for the End Of The World deep in Karl and Jermyn's reactor at the mill...).

~ Headed by a trusty team of cosmonauts, and with a rather dapper looking Tim Burgess as wingman, Pete and Jon's Seahawks live debut was one of our most adventurous quests to date, and we thank all players that got on board the ship. *Extra thanks must go to Karl and Jermyn, who fuelled the ship with a psychedelic head fuck, Sukie's Room, which was a mind-blowing respite from the main event. And finally to Begin aka James Holroyd for missioning over from Back2Basics to rock the mainroom hard after the Seahawks, it was full beaming smiles all around - big up yourselves!

Its that robot offa Buck Rogers getting on it... Full Buzz.

*Ok so if you've not already heard, we're closing 2012 in fine style - at the Soup Kitchen with the heavily armed Beat Boutique crew manning the decks upstairs, we'll be in the basement playing pure emosh Wet Play bangers from the year past - pulling at your heartstrings and getting all wide-eyed as we welcome in the New Year. We've all been really looking forward to this - as its been a long time since we've all been behind the decks together all night long, so expect a seriously heavy, trademark wax Wet Play workout... and be prepared for something tricky on the old napper as the clock strikes twelve.....

The DRILL: £10 Advance Tickets available at Piccadilly Records & Soup Kitchen. - These are now running low as the event is selling FAST...If you can't get em at either of those gaffs then get em from Skiddle online or its £15 on the door on the night if there's room (get down early)... We'll try and keep peops updated on the ticket front online during the run up but DONT KIP ON THIS! get em sorted pronto and save the bother...
